Aloo Palak


Ingredients:

1 Bunch Palak/Spinach
3-4 Green Chillies
1 Onion Chopped
2 Potatoes peeled and diced in cubes
3 Tbsp Oil
1 Tbsp Butter
Salt to Taste
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
2-3 Garlic Cloves Grated

For the Puree :

1 Tomato Chopped
5-6 Whole Cashews
1 Tsp Corriander seeds
A pinch of Salt


Method:

1. Heat Oil in a pan fry the diced Potato cubes till crisp. Remove.Keep aside
2. In the same pan add the Green chillies and Palak(picked and washed) and cook till the
palak cooks down and cool it.
3. Make a puree of the cooked Palak and the ingredients under the Puree.
4. Melt Butter in the same pan and cook the onions till tender. Saute Garlic.
5. Stir in Tumeric powder, Garam Masala powder, Salt to taste. Mix Well.
6. Add the fried Potatoes.
5. Simmer for 10-15 mins till the Potatoes are tender.
6. Serve hot with Roti/Chapatti or Rice.
