Daal Palak


 
Ingredients :

Fresh Palak - One Bunch
1 large Onion chopped
1 large Tomato chopped
3-4 Garlic Cloves grated
2 Green chillies chopped ( optional)
1 cup Channa Dal
2 cups Water

1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Corriander Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste

3 tbsp Oil

Method :

1.Wash and Soak the Channa dal in water for at least 1 - 2 hr.
2. Clean, wash and chop the palak.
3. In a pressure cooker heat Oil. Add onions and saute  till tender. Now add Tomatoes, Green Chillies and Garlic and cook till the tomato is tender. Add Chilli powder, Turmeric, Corriander powder and fry for a few seconds.
4. Add chopped palak, Channa dal along with the water and salt. Mix well. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or till the channa dal is cooked.
5. Serve hot with Rice or Rotis!!

Notes :

1. Adjust  green chillies and red chilli powder according to your taste.
2. Garlic is also optional
