Hara Bhara Kabab

This one gets its name from the green color of Spinach/Palak. As we all know Palak should be a important part of our diet. This is one  FUN way to include it. I mean that because my 3 year old loves it! The Potatoes give a richness to this dish. This is always on  my list to make when I get fresh Palak/Spinach. This can be deep or shallow fried. And this delicious goodness can be served as a starter or evening snack with Tea/Coffee and Ketchup!

Ingredients:

4  Big Potatoes Boiled, Peeled and Mashed
1/4 bunch Palak
2 Tbsp Fresh Coriander Leaves chopped
1 Tsp Ginger Garlic paste
1 Green Chilli chopped
1 Tsp Chaat Masala/Dry Mango Powder
2 Tbsp Cornflour
2-3 Tbsp Dry Poha( grind it to a powder)
1 Tbsp Oil
Salt to taste.

Oil for Frying

Method :

1. Heat Oil a non stick pan add Palak & Coriander leaves. Cover with a lid and let steam for 4-5 mins till the Palak reduces down.Cool.
2. Make a puree of the cooked Palak(Do not add water).
3. Finally combine the puree with boiled Potatoes, Green Chilli, Ginger Garlic Paste, Poha(powder), Salt , Chaat Masala and Cornflour.
4. Mash it to make a soft ball like consistency.
5. Divide the mixture in equal parts and make patties.
6. Deep Fry them and they are ready to serve with Ketchup!

Notes :

1. You can replace Poha with bread crumbs.
2. If you feel the mixture is watery you can add more Cornflour or All pupose Flour.
3. You can also shallow fry them in a non stick pan with little oil and cooking on both sides till done.
