Chhole




2 cups Chhole(soaked overnight and pressure cooked)
1 Onion-finely chopped
1 Big Tomato-pureed
1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
1 tsp Cumin seeds
2 tsp Chhole Masala
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Chili Powder
2-3 Bay Leaves
2-3 Cloves
1-2 Cinnamon sticks
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 Lemon's Juice or 1 tbsp Tamarind pulp
1 1/2 cup Water
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves

Heat oil in a pan. Add Jeera, Cinnamon sticks, Bay leaves, Cloves. Saute for a few seconds. Now add onions cook till they turn pink in color. Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chili powder, chhole masala. Let this fry for a few seconds then add the tomato puree cover and cook for 10-15 mins till the oil starts to separate. Add Chhole, lemon juice/tamarind pulp, salt and water according to consistency and let boil for 5-10 mins. Garnish with coriander leaved and serve hot.
